Certains articles britanniques discutent des effets nocifs de l'utilisation du Midazolam comme traitement contre le Covid. Wiki note que cette molécule de la famille des benzodiazépines est parfois connu en France sous le nom commercial Hypnovel, et aux États-Unis sous le nom Versed. Wiki précise d'ailleurs que « le midazolam est par ailleurs indiqué et recommandé comme molécule de référence dans la sédation des patients pour détresse en phase terminale par la société française d'accompagnement et de soins palliatifs »Un des effets secondaires possibles du Midazolam ce sont des difficultés respiratoires.
