L’assassinat du poete Kab ben Asraf
Vers 624, Mohamet a été critiqué par le poète Kaab ben Asraf (ou Ka`b ibn Al-'Achraf). Le texte suivant, tiré des hadith de la Sunna, raconte l’ordre de son assassinat, donnée par Mohamet lui-même. Notons bien que la ruse employée ici implique la permission donnée par Mohamet de mentir afin d’accomplir ce but:

Ce texte démontre bien les limites de la liberté intellectuelle, politique et artistique sous l’islam et que la censure intellectuelle fait partie de l'islam depuis le début. Le phénomène Salman Rushdie n'a donc rien de nouveau...
